A Big Move

Living on my own has really opened my eyes to the real world. I have more responsibility now than I have my entire life. Simple things that I took for granted like dirty dishes, dirty laundry and paying bills are now my responsibility. I was always able to rely on my parents to take care of these things for me in the past but now either I do them or they don't get done.
On top of that I have to do homework and make sure my grades stay up while still trying to have a social life. It's tough to balance but I feel I'm doing a really good job. All of my marks have been in the 70's but I plan to bring them up, hopefully to the low 80's by the end of the year.
I really like living on my own. All the responsibility is teaching me how to be an adult and I really like that. I've found that I'm not as lazy as I was in high school because I am privileged to be a university student. Not everyone is able to go to university and I feel really lucky to be here. I find that I don't procrastinate like I used to. When I get an assignment, I at least start it that day and I do a little bit each day. The main reason I don't procrastinate is because it got me in trouble a few times in high school; there were a lot of all-nighters. My secondary reason is because I hate doing homework on weekends when I could be having fun with my friends.
So far I have found that I really like living on my own and it has really helped me develop as my own person.
